Yuugiou GX is another series that is related to Yuugiou DM. The GX In the name stands for Generation Next Which means the next generation of Yuugiou/Yu-Gi-Oh!

The new and improved main character in this series is named "Yuki Juudai" (Juudai = Teenages, Yu=fun, game, play, Ki=fortress, castle).

The main characters of Yuugiou Duel Monsters such as Yami Yugi, Jyonouchi, and other characters don't take part in this new serie much although their names are mentioned in the series frequently. Their basically idols for the new generation.

The new story is about, Yuki Judai, who got a card Winged Kuriboh or Hane Kuribo, from the legendary duelist of this time Mutou Yugi in the first episode. Judai has to face many challenges through out his life at duelist academy, His one goal is to becaome the next King of Duel Acadeny!

Duel Academy was established by Kaiba. The school is located on the solitude southern island. The purpose of this school is to gather the most BEST duelists and game designers. In order to go to this school you need to take a written test and a duel test, which both must be pass or else you don't get admitted.

Duel Academy consist of 3 ranks. Obelisk Blue, Ra Yellow, and Slifer Red The new series is currently in the U.S.A and showing every day on Cartoon Network.



Obelisk Blue: The top rank is Obelisk Blue dorm where contains most of the elites duelists.
Ra Yellow: The second rank is Ra Yellow. New students with high exam scores.
Slifer Red: The lowest rank is Osiris Red where all of the drop-outs are located :P.

Unfortunately for Yuki Judai, due to the fact that he scored a 110 on his written test and beat Cronos in his duel exam. He is consider as a Drop Out and is placed in Slifer Red.
